“In partial union with light, under ‘unusual’ circumstances, the human mind can see into and across time — as time — the problem is that the human mind we forge in culture is not only unprepared for this, it would explicitly ‘denote’ it »as death. And neither Time nor Light are anything much like we imagine or tell ourselves.
At all. Their natures are explicitly unlike our language for reasons that should be obvious… and yet ordinarily remain invisible to us who are more often used by than using it.
There are terrifying problems for anyone who can, by whatever means, pass this gate. Because there, in The Seeing, there is a form of recursion that is deadly to the mind, the soul, and intelligence itself. This is, in part, why all human examples are generally extremely ‘partial’, that is ‘rational’.
The mind is not a ‘single’ thing or even thinglike. It is, it appears, a ‘downscaling’ into peculiar modes and relations of living dimensionality of something that is not precisely light as we consider it, yet is that which we refer to with this word. It is also impossible to understand ‘what light is’. One is understanding with a redimensionalized macroform of the referent. What one can do, however, in and as light, is another ‘matter’ entirely. Our minds are made for this, but our languages and cultures, religions and cults, are largely the opposite, and science is explicitly prohibited from anything other than largely mechanical purposes for the moment.
In any case, the first problem is simple instability. The thinking mind cannot survive continuous reforging at a rate exceeding that of dreaming, yet this is the precursor to the transformation. This proceeds for a time, until the first vehicle is either stable or destroyed. Madness will most often accompany either result, though in the former it will be minimal and fade quickly; it will also become self-correcting. In fact, various forms of madness mimic the process and The Seeing. If you can get to the point where you encounter the lethal feedback, you will begin to see. What is impossible to understand is that you do not want this result. This result is impossible to manage for mortal persons. They cannot manipulate or relate with the feedback in the way necessary to See or travel.
If one can negotiate the first problems, a vastly deadlier array arises behind them. Amongst these are the fact that successful seeing causally links orders of otherwise distinct reference frames. And the seer is the conduit of this … transformation. The problems that emerge from this fact are too sophisticated to enumerate, but for the sake of closure let us say that such a person becomes either a ‘rip’ or a ‘suture’ over a manifold of temporalities at once. This has consequences human intelligence is not equal to the contemplation, let alone navigation of.
Nonetheless, all of us have the faculties. It is possible, while alive, to do what ‘only happens at death’, and it is nothing like what you hear about in books or the anomalous fringe. The soul is a vehicle made for travel. It’s actually made »of it. And your mind? That’s a ‘hand’ that exists in an array of peculiar dimensions where it is uncommonly… and ‘universally’ useful…”
